Laurene McCafferty graduated from the University of Glasgow with an MA (Hons) in Sociology in 2005, and moved through to Edinburgh and started her PhD project at CCIR in October 2006.

Her PhD focuses on interaction, collaboration and learning within the on-line virtual world of Second Life with specific relevance to the financial services sector.

Laurene's interests include travelling, socialising, music and reading.
