Gareth Peevers graduated in 2000 with a BA(Hons) in Artificial
Intelligence and in 2002 with an MSc in Human Centred Computer Systems,
both from the University of Sussex. In April 2002 he took up an 18
month Research Associate post in the School of Psychology at Nottingham
University. Gareth worked on a project that investigated using multiple

representation, to explain how to complete a complex computer based task.
From November 2003 Gareth spent 5 months working in the Medical
Education Unit at Nottingham University developing web based e-learning
material before joining CCIR at the end of March 2004 as a Research Fellow.
Gareth's academic interests are in usability, interaction design and
e-learning.
His interests outside work include music, football, travel, reading, and
trying (but mostly failing) to keep fit.
